I like the pose and the composition but the skeleton is a little distracting. I think it's also kind of incongruent to have something fairly light and humorous with such a serious expression and backdrop. The problem would be, though, that the skeleton makes it more clear that it's a themed photo--specifically Halloween. Still, I think you could do something else to suggest that more subtlely like bumping up the lighting to emphasize the orange and black (although there really isn't much black in the negative spaces to speak of--which brings me to another point): I'm not sure how you could do this with photoshop but if the backdrop had more shadow in it it would be much more dramatic and would suit the overall mood that I'm getting from the pose and it would go along with Halloween and since the title mentions fire it would be a clever way of making the figure look like they were the fire and all the light in the room is coming from them. Just my two cents.

awesome, thanks for the ideas. the title is "fire" simply because i was playing with the candle fire when he snapped the shot, and i couldn't think of anything else to name it, but what you are describing does sound pretty cool. i think photoshop has been used only on a couple of images in this gallery. :D
